Odawara Castle was the seat of Oda Nobunagu's power in the 16th century, it was also his strong hold as he sought to conquer Japan. The interior is now a museum housing a variety of relics for the samurai era. Unfortunately no photos are allowed within, but managed to snap a few regardless.
While in Yokohama waiting for a friend I decided to kill some time with a visit to the so called "Fish Dr." A school of tiny fish that nip away dead skin. While a somewaht unconventional 'medical practice' it was an expiereince well worth 1,000 yen.
I spent the past weekend traveling to Jigokudani, in Nagano prefecture, to catch a glimpse of the famed "snow monkeys" bathing in the local hot springs. the long trip was well worth the effort.
